School Readiness

School readiness is about much more than knowing letters and numbers. It involves developing the skills children need to confidently participate in their first year of school, including communication, independence, emotional regulation, early literacy and numeracy, fine motor skills, following routines, asking for help, and learning alongside others.

These foundational skills help children feel more confident, settled, and ready to engage in classroom learning, allowing teachers to spend more time supporting learning and less time managing transitions and routines.Every child develops at their own pace, which is why all School Readiness programs at Drafting Minds begin with a comprehensive School Readiness Assessment.

The assessment provides a detailed understanding of your child's current strengths, emerging skills, and areas for development, allowing us to create a highly personalised program that targets the skills most important for their successful transition to school. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, every session is tailored to your child's individual needs, ensuring they receive the right support at the right time.

1. School Readiness Assessment

A gentle deep-dive into your child's social, emotional, and early learning skills. Best for families wanting a clear baseline and tailored recommendations for a confident start to Prep.

2. School Readiness Program

1:1 or small group sessions designed to build essential skills in a safe, predictable environment. Outcomes focus on emotional regulation and school-style social engagement.
