Natalie
Founder & Lead Tutor
At Drafting Minds, Natalie creates a nurturing and welcoming space where every child feels seen, heard, and understood. Born and raised in the outback, she brings a grounded, practical approach to learning and knows how to make education engaging, hands-on, and meaningful. Children feel supported as they explore, discover, and grow at their own pace, developing confidence and independence along the way.
Over more than ten years in the classroom, Natalie has taught across two states in metropolitan, rural, and remote schools—including Indigenous communities and juvenile detention centres. This breadth of experience has given her a deep understanding of diverse learning styles and the unique ways each child engages with the world. She combines structured, multisensory lessons with tangible, hands-on activities that help children feel secure, capable, and ready for school and life beyond it.
Known for her approachable and personable nature, Natalie is easy to talk to, patient, and non-judgemental. She communicates honestly and thoughtfully with both children and parents, building trusting partnerships that support emotional wellbeing and learning growth. Her goal is to guide each child in developing their own sense of agency, belonging, and confidence—skills that will last a lifetime.
Natalie’s commitment to understanding the whole child extends beyond academics. She is enrolled in, and preparing to commence, a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, further strengthening her ability to support children’s emotional and social development. Grounded in trauma-informed care, she creates calm, safe, and welcoming environments where children can thrive, feel valued, and explore their unique potential.
At Drafting Minds, learning is a partnership. Natalie’s approach blends expertise, empathy, and insight to help children grow with curiosity, confidence, and joy, while giving parents peace of mind that their child is supported every step of the way.
