Our Services
Drafting Minds is Brisbane based.
Servicing Brisbane, Gold Coast, Logan, Ipswich and areas of the Sunshine Coast.
Australia Wide Online Services.
We work with children from who are ready for Prep age 4+) to Year 4, who need a calm, supportive space to learn.
This includes kids who are neurodivergent, anxious, sensitive, or have had tricky school experiences.
Together, we focus on building confidence, emotional safety, and strong learning foundations so they can feel capable both in and out of the classroom.
Each enrolment must begin with an
Initial Assessment.
During this time, we review any psychologist or occupational therapist recommendations, consider teacher feedback, and assess current literacy and numeracy skills.
We also take note of the student’s interests, strengths and support needs.
This information helps us design a personalised learning plan and ensure that our support is safe, appropriate and aligned with the student’s goals.
In‑Person Tutoring
Face‑to‑face support in a familiar environment. We work with your child’s strengths, interests, and sensory needs to make learning feel safe, grounded, and meaningful.
Online Tutoring
Flexible online sessions that bring support to you at home. We use clear structure, visuals, and gentle pacing so online learning feels calm, accessible, and engaging.
Small Group Tutoring
Small, in‑person groups for children with similar needs who already know each other. Sessions are held at your nominated location and are carefully planned to feel safe, predictable, and supportive for everyone.
Parent Coaching Sessions
(Limited spaces available)
Goal focused 1:1 or Topic-specific small group sessions are available for adults who already know each other and book as a group.
Practical coaching for parents on reading picture books, teaching early maths, phonics, and writing. We break skills into simple, doable steps so you feel confident supporting learning at home.
Ongoing on single session options available.
Homeschool Support Session
Drafting Minds Homeschool Support Sessions are here to make your homeschooling journey easier and more confident. Connect with experienced teachers who can help you navigate curriculum requirements, simplify educational jargon, and build practical strategies for lesson planning and time management.
We also support learning difficulties, provide helpful resources, and offer parent-focused sessions to strengthen your teaching approach—so you feel empowered to create a positive and engaging learning experience at home.
School Readiness Assessment
School Readiness Assessments supports a smooth, confident transition into Prep. Designed by an experienced Prep teacher, it assesses the key skills and behaviours children need to thrive—across social, emotional, and early learning areas.
You’ll receive clear, practical feedback on your child’s development, with targeted skills to focus on at home. For continued support, we also offer School Readiness Sessions to help build these skills and set your child up for success.
School Readiness Session
Our School Readiness Sessions are developed and led by a specialist Prep teacher to gently build the skills children need for a smooth, confident start to school. Sessions may begin 1:1 and, when your child is ready, grow into small group sessions so they can practise and transfer these skills into a classroom-style setting with support.
Positive Behaviour Support
(coming soon...)
Trauma‑informed, neurodivergent‑affirming positive behaviour support. Limited spaces will be available; we are currently taking inquiries only for families wanting early guidance and planning.
Neurodivergent Awareness
We take a neurodivergent-aware approach to learning.
This means we recognise that children think, learn, and process information in different ways. Some students may have differences such as ADHD, autism, or other learning profiles — and these differences are not deficits, but simply different ways of experiencing the world.
Rather than expecting children to fit into one way of learning, we adapt our approach to support how your child learns best.
Trauma-Informed Care
We use a trauma-informed approach in all of our sessions.
This means we understand that some children may have experienced stress, anxiety, or challenges that affect how they learn, behave, and respond in different situations.
Rather than seeing behaviour as “difficult” or “defiant,” we look at what might be happening underneath — such as overwhelm, frustration, or a lack of confidence.
